Laura Giraldo

Having relocated to the United States from Colombia at the age of eleven, Laura is no stranger to stepping outside her comfort zone. Learning a new language, finding a new circle of friends, and navigating unfamiliar surroundings taught her the value of flexibility early in life. This challenging transition played a pivotal role in shaping Laura into the individual she is today.

Laura's aptitude for business management prompted her to invest in her talent further, leading her to pursue a degree in business administration. After countless nights of studying, she proudly graduated from Valencia College. This achievement empowered Laura and fueled her passion for business administration, prompting her to seek out Pete Zimek, the CEO and Founder of ApartmentsFor, and request an opportunity to shadow him. After shadowing Pete and gaining deeper insights into the business, Laura was offered a full-time position as the Accounting Manager at ApartmentsFor!

As the Accounting Manager for ApartmentsFor, Laura's typical work week involves processing customer payments and invoices, onboarding new clients, enhancing existing office and accounting processes, and fostering connections amongst the remote team. When asked about her job, Laura expressed her love for every aspect of it. She emphasized her gratitude for the company's emphasis on employee well-being.

Outside of work, Laura is most likely planning her next grand adventure! Her passion for exploring the world takes priority in her life. She consistently sets aside funds and paid time off for her upcoming journeys. Among the numerous destinations Laura has visited, her birthplace of Colombia holds a special place in her heart. The cuisine, the people, the mountains, and the nostalgic memories associated with her homeland have become her sanctuary. Laura is blessed with the presence of two precious baby boys who hold an unparalleled place in her heart.
