Pete Zimek

Pete is the founder and CEO of ApartmentsFor. Pete's personal mission revolves around connecting people and ideas to create opportunities, reflected in his various business and philanthropic endeavors.

Pete obtained his bachelor’s degree in History and master's degree in Management from the University of Florida, where he was honored as an MSM scholar upon graduation. Pete owned and operated two Ben & Jerry's franchise stores in Gainesville, Florida, despite being allergic to milk. He served on the company's national Franchise Advisory Council and marketing committee. Pete attributes his ethos of social entrepreneurship and service to his interactions with the company's founders.

Pete established ApartmentsFor after recognizing a demand within the Gainesville market for a dedicated local apartment search platform. His aim was to assist renters in discovering apartments that meet their lifestyle and budget, and his leadership drove our team into several new markets as our technology and business continued to grow.

He has left a lasting impact on the apartment industry, having dedicated years of his time to associations by instructing classes, chairing the Marketing & Branding Committee for AAGO, serving as a supplier member on the AAGO’s Board of Directors, serving as the Treasurer and board member for NCFAA, and holding a position as a delegate on the Florida Apartment Association Board of Directors.

His dedication to associations led him to his latest venture, Novi AMS. Novi AMS is a technology company partnering with associations to provide smart and user-friendly association management solutions, allowing them to focus on their non-profit missions.

Pete calls Florida home with his wife Jennifer and daughters Olivia and Alexis.
