Viviana Texiera

Meet Viviana Texiera, a sophomore at University of Florida majoring in Journalism with a minor in Public Relations. Since beginning her studies, she has immersed herself in the College of Journalism and Communications through hands-on media experience as a Midday Reporter for WUFT and a Sports Reporter for WRUF. Her passion for digital storytelling and audience engagement began in high school, where she managed social media content for both her dance team and student council.

Viviana is also actively involved on campus through leadership and creative roles. She serves on the creative team for Public Relations in Sports Management and was recently elected Treasurer of the Association of Women in Sports Media, strengthening her interest in sports management, media relations, and strategic communications.

In addition to her academic involvement, Viviana works with UF RecSports where she was promoted from Operations Associate to Operations Supervisor — a role that reflects her leadership, organization, and passion for fitness and wellness. This summer, she will also serve as a Preview Staffer, helping incoming students navigate orientation and transition successfully into college life. Outside of school, Viviana enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and prioritizing health and fitness. Whether she's at the gym, playing volleyball, or enjoying a Pub Sub by the water, she values balance, community, and quality time with friends and family. One of her biggest priorities is to radiate positivity and make a meaningful impact on those around her.

As she begins her role with Swamp Rentals, Viviana is excited to expand her experience in social media and digital marketing while connecting with the Gainesville community. Fun fact — when she was younger she wanted to be a Real Estate Agent… so this is curing a small piece of her childhood! Her involvement with the ApartmentsFor team will allow her to continue develop her skills and interests in communications!
