One Year of ApartmentsForClemson: A Look Back
A year goes by fast, especially when you're delivering gourmet popsicles, suiting up in hard hats, and keeping a coffee line moving for five hours straight.
ApartmentsForClemson launched one year ago with the goal of helping Clemson students find the right place to live off campus. Here's a look back at year one.
Showing Up in the Clemson Community
In February, we partnered with Summer Moon Coffee to treat Clemson students to a free drink or food item. The line wrapped around the street and stayed there for the full five hours the tab was open. The best part of events like this is getting to spend a day working the line and talking to students. Many walked up expecting to pay for their usual order, only to find out it was on us.
As one student put it: "I think this matters to the Clemson community because it provides students with the opportunity to learn more about ApartmentsForClemson, and it's really enticing because who doesn't love a free coffee?"
The on-the-ground work didn't stop there. During turn season, we hit the road to thank the onsite teams at student communities across Clemson. If you're not familiar with turn, it's the busiest stretch of the year in student housing: in just a few weeks, every apartment gets cleaned, repaired, and made ready before thousands of students arrive for move-in.
So we showed up with gourmet popsicles as part of our ApartmentsFor appreciation tour, giving teams a chance to cool off and take a breather in the middle of the summer rush. It was a small gesture for the people doing some of the hardest and least visible work in student housing. Move-in week runs on the folks behind the scenes, and we wanted to make sure they knew we see them.
Getting a First Look: The Treehaus Clemson Hard Hat Tour
One of the highlights of our year was getting an exclusive first look inside Treehaus Clemson, one of the newest luxury student communities opening Fall 2026, before anyone else. Wearing hard hats and construction vests, we walked through studios, three- to five-bedroom apartments, and one of the most impressive one-bedrooms we've seen! Plus, we got the full rundown on upcoming amenities including two pickleball courts, a sauna, and much more.
Getting inside a community before it opens is something we're excited to keep doing as new developments come to market near Clemson. Being able to show students what a property looks like before the first resident ever moves in, and helping generate excitement along the way, is something we think makes a real difference. As Clemson continues to grow, we'll be there for the tours.
The Numbers and What's Next
Our intern team has been on the ground in Clemson creating content since day one, with on-site video shoots, social content, property features, and everything in between.
In year one, that added up to 82 posts and more than 1.6 million views across all platforms. We've grown to over 1.2K combined followers across all platforms, with more joining every day.
Year two means more events, more local partnerships, and more ways to make off-campus housing near Clemson University easier to navigate. Thank you to every student, onsite team, and partner who made year one what it was!
